You may choose to drive up to Lapland where Santa Claus lives, visit the Ice Hotel and view the magnificent Arouras (depending on time of year). Or perhaps you want to go to the city of Oulu and visit the Tietomaa Science Centre with over 150 exhibits to look at, or visit some of the gorgeous gardens such as Hupisaaret, which is loacted on the esturay river, or The University of Oulu Botanical Garden. Headlights must be used at all times outside built-up areas (indicated by a sign). Motorists in Finland should remain alert for elk and reindeer which frequently wander onto roads and are most active at dusk.
