The United States Dollar (USD) is the government-issued currency throughout the entire country. Pounds are not accepted as currency but can be exchanged at most banking centres and currency exchanges. You can also find currency exchange centres directly located in international airports. Most major credit cards are accepted, such as Visa, Master Card & American Express. You may incur a fee from your card carrier for exchange rates; therefore, we advise you to check this prior to your travel. You will also find that you can use multiple ATM machines located at any bank.

Most states in the US require drivers to be at least 21 years of age in order to hire a car. Drivers under the age of 25 may be subject to a young driver fee. It is best to check with your local supplier to see if this fee applies to you. This information can also be found on our website, in the "Product Information" section. An international driver's licence may be required.
Many, but not all, highways in the US are toll roads. These can often be called turnpikes. You can generally pay for tolls by either handing an attendant cash, throwing coins in a change dispenser, or by electronic device. Because not all toll highways are the same in every state, it is best to familiarise yourself with the tolls and types of payment accepted along the route you plan to take prior to the start of your journey.
