the service was good and waiting for me with my name on a board very easy the only poor thing was the windscreen was dirty inside and collecting in the dark emphasised it when headlights on it made it hard to see well

I liked the experience but was not happy with the car that I got. Auto Europe was quick and easy to hire a car.
The thing that was really annoying, was that no where clearly was it mentioned that I would have to block off €600 for renting a car that no matter whose fault at an accident lets say, I would loose even if I was not in the wrong.
Furthermore, I would find it very helpful if I could specify a diesel car at the rental selection. "Probably" would pay a little extra just to have the certainty that I would have a diesel car for the rental.

First off,the car was scratched and dented throughout the car body.Its not really surprising since the car had 71500km on the clock.But ok, I am just used getting to renting newer cars.One of the joys of renting a car!Inside, the seats where dirty and had stains in the upholstery plus one air vent on the side had a grill missing. I also did not like that I had to leave a deposit €600 which was instantaneously taken off my card but would take 2/3 days to be unblocked.Furthermore, had I paid the for the higher insurance I would have only had to pay €100 and plus I would not have any problems in a accident. This needs to be clearly explained. Also Vero is all about being eco friendly but have no diesel cars to offer!

Car collection was very slow and frustrating but we had free upgrade to mpv so quite happy.

We were going into Montenegro, I had mentioned thisinitially, however it was not picked up. I was concerned it was not on the voucher, so phoned back. It was then added but at an additional cost.

The service was great but the car we received was an Opal Astra and the outside of the car was in poor condition and the inside wasn't great either. There was even a burn hole in the passenger seat.
Definitely not the standard we have received with other companies but as we booked later I can only assume we got the last available car.
However, the car was reliable and didn't let us down and the air con worked!

The person we saw was helpful and easy to deal with.
It was just the condition of the car we received that was suprising from a hire company. It looked like a car you may borrow from a scrap yard.

This is our second rental through Auto Europe and the prices have been very good, with excellent email confirmations before, and after the rental. 10/10.

Our VW Polo was quite new and was a good car for 2 people. But the tyre pressures were too low and no water for the washers. Also, the agent did not inspect the car with us at handover and when we went back to check on a few things the office had closed (15.50pm!) because Zadar has only a few flights. The car had not been cleaned inside or outside, with the previous renters parking tickets still in the car. On our return the agent did check the car with us and there were no problems. Oryx were much cheaper than Hertz and if they can just sort out these minor issues then they are a good company to hire from, but it is the minor details on which they need to improve. 7/10.

When we arrived at 10am there was a queue of about 12 people , some of whom had been waiting for 3 hours. Oryx said that 11 cars were overdue. We had to wait 1 hour but were given a big upgrade as no other vehicle was available.
