I have used your car rental service many times and been very happy with the service.
It would be nice however to have someone by the car when one picks it up, as if there are any scratches or dents to report one has to go back to the rental desk and explain. This all takes time and can cause frustration.

I always use Auto Europe when renting cars. I am sorry it was with Hertz this time. As they often do, they tried to cheat me on the insurance. Please use other companies.

We left a pack of CD's in the car + the window mount for my sat nav. We also lost some jewellery on our travels. I have called Citer by phone and asked them to send the CDs and mount and I would pay the postage + Check in case the jewelery was left in the car. So far I've heard nothing back.

Firefly was interesting in that they will charge €12 if the car interior needs "cleaning". This was a new clause to me. As I accepted the hire vehicle in the dark I could not check out the vehicle condition. However the receptionist made me aware of the option to inspect in daylight and report any non notified/specified damage. On checking the next day there were two scratches on the bonnet which I reported. I later noticed that the driver side front tyre was wearing badly on one side, it would be an advisory on a UK MOT. Never had a hire car that the tracking was out for 30 years!! Reported when dropped off. Everything else OK.
