While many film festivals celebrate the prolonged drama, comedy and action of feature-length movies, the International Short Film Festival only screens movies that are two minutes or less. Travellers visiting Europe can take a car hire in Germany to see some of the most powerful - and shortest - films this autumn.
This year's event features a lineup of more than 450 films across 50 programs, with six competitions for the best shorts screened at the festival. Aside from the international contest, which attracts filmmakers from all over the world, there is a Viral Video award for the best films from around the internet, in addition to a special screening event dedicated to the strangest, most thought-provoking films at the event.
There will be a special retrospective on the works of cult director Michelangelo Antonioni, in addition to screenings of films selected by journalists from across Berlin. Students and graduates from the Polish School of Animation will be debuting their work as well, and the art of the music video is also celebrated with its own screening event.
Film buffs can take a car hire in Berlin to reach the event, and see some of the most challenging, powerful and brief moments in European filmmaking.
