For many football fanatics, travelling means missing out on a match or two from their favourite club. Yet while spending holiday in Italy may mean you miss West Ham's match with Millwall, vacationers with a
car hire in Rome this April will still be able to catch some exciting football action at the Palio of Rome.
One of the biggest amateur tournaments in the area, the Palio of Rome, or Palio di Roma, brings together four teams from the 94 neighbourhoods found throughout the city in a month-long elimination tournament that seeks to crown the greatest squad in Rome.
In the weeks leading up to the finals in April, 376 teams will play more than 1,600 matches, while the two best teams in the city will have their chance to run the field at the world-famous Stadio Olimpico, one of the most celebrated stadiums in football.
Footballers and fanatics will want to make sure they have their
car hire in Italy on April 21, as the final was created to coincide with the city's birthday.
