Fans of innovative and experimental theatre who are taking a
car hire in London this summer will not want to miss the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival. Taking place from June 21-30, the event promises to be a visual extravaganza, set amid the historic beauty of maritime Greenwich.
The festival will commence with Prometheus Rises, a modern interpretation of the classic Greek myth. Attendees can expect to see a 30-foot-high maquette take to the stage accompanied by a dramatic score performed by the Graeae Theatre Company and La Fura dels Baus.
Other highlights of the event include Crow, based on the poems by Ted Hughes and performed by the Handspring Puppet Company; Motor Show, an innovative interpretive dance production featuring an extensive range of cars; Word on the Street, a compelling blend of spoken word performance and street theatre; and Dancing City, a series of outdoor contemporary dances.
One of the most intriguing and highly anticipated theatrical events in London, the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival is a must-see for fans of the performing arts. Several venues around Greenwich will be hosting shows, making a
car hire in the United Kingdom an ideal way for holidaymakers to experience this audio-visual extravaganza for themselves.
